Finding that "perfect" song is a task that every actor struggles with. Jodie Langel will work with you to find THREE BRAND NEW SONGS (that aren't overdone) chosen to fit your type and personality!
You'll be provided with sheet music and suggested audition cuts. The goal is to find material that will help you land your next callback or book your next project.

The difference between a good audition and a winning audition is the ability to really connect to your song. In "Acting Your Song" students work on the storytelling aspect of their audition material.

Experience how to handle any audition in a professional, confident and prepared manner. Auditions are scary, but this class simplifies things enormously.

This incredible class helps performers deal with concerns or troublespots as they approach audition material.
By learning vocal tips and techniques from master vocal technicians, students are able to approach material without fear or concern of "sounding good."
Breath, placement, tone quality, and other important vocal aspects are just some of the items touched upon in this invaluable class.

Musical Theatre is a heightened form of theatre that requires more than just a solid voice; it requires exceptional acting! This class strips away the music and gets back to basics.
Focusing on script work, students are able to learn how to bring text to life and truly connect with the author’s words.

How do you pick a good pop/rock song? And how do you modify your vocal technique to produce a sound that producers are looking for?
These (and many more) questions will be answered and you'll walk away feeling ready to conquer your next pop/rock audition.

Taught by an established Broadway casting director, students learn about the inner-workings of the industry and how they can approach their career in a business-savvy manner!

Audition Prep Intensives
Our Audition Intensive is the most exciting intensive of the year. Making It On Broadway is only taught by Broadway professionals, therefore each student is getting the very best training in the country. Students take classes in and not limited to, Acting Your Song, Build your Book, Pop/Rock, Dance, Acting, Business, Business for Parents, and every single student gets to sing in a master class. At the end of this exciting week, every student gets a private audition for a Broadway agent and casting director!
Making It On Broadway is not like other intensives where a celebrity comes in and only a few people get to sing for them. Every single student gets one-on-one time with a distinguished Broadway professional. We keep our class size small so EVERYONE gets to sing in a master class.

Summer Stock Intensive
This 2-day program is geared toward musical theater performers (18+) who are looking for summer stock and regional theatre jobs. At this intensive, students will prep audition material with the best educators in the country and audition for the biggest summer stock companies in the country! This Intensive is a must for those looking to work in the greater New York area during the summer and you won't have to stand in line for a casting call.
